Context
During our global redesign of my score web pages, we realized that the collections and categories pages looked very similar to the point where it was hard to tell them apart.
Their problems was the following — " How to differentiate these two pages when they present the same type of information?"

From this problem, the following questions arise: should we create new card components for these pages? Is there a way to differentiate them visually and bring a new experience?
Regarding the first point, since we are in the phase of global redesign of pages before the creation of product it is totally possible to create new components, or variants of current component to not generate too much work downstream for developers.
For the second point, quite related to the first one, I decided to do a detailed benchmark of the competitors to see how they distinguished their collections and categories pages. After that, I decided to opt for the creation of a banner on the collections page.
Design
After spending several hours in workshops, benchmarks and wireframes, we opted for the animated version above. Step by step the idea is to bring inspiration through the pages and it's thanks to continuous improvements like this one that we can do it! This version isn't yet available on Cheerz.
